Jack Herman Foell

Jack Herman Foell, age 82, passed away at Sauk Prairie Hospital on Sun. Jan., 21, 2018 surrounded by his family.

He was born Oct. 9, 1935 in Milwaukee to the late Herman and Ruth (Wilson) Foell. He attended school in West Bend and graduated from High School in Toledo, Oh.

Following High School, Jack enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in Okinawa, Japan during the Korean War. He proudly continued to serve in the U.S. Air Force reserves for over 35 years.

Jack was united in marriage to Arlene Puestow at Good Shepherd Lutheran in West Bend on May 16, 1959. He later worked at O’Hare Airport and a local automobile dealership in Des Plaines before retiring to Lady Lake, Florida. While in Florida, Jack was instrumental in starting an Adopt a Veteran Program.

Jack and Arlene enjoyed their time in Florida and returned to Sun Prairie, WI in 2006 where they lived in Liberty Square Senior Village. There Jack enjoyed hosting the music and memories Big Band radio show on Friday nights.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; daughter, Jodee (James) Tierney of Sauk City; three grand-daughters, Molly, Erin, and Shannon Tierney; 2 brothers, Richard Foell of Las Vegas, Nv., and Lynn (Kathy) Foell of Lancaster, Ma., he is further survived by other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Fri. Jan. 26, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 100 Oak St., Prairie du Sac, WI. with Pastor Fred Rilling and Intern Pastor Derek Rosenstiel officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Military Honors will be accorded by the Lachmund-Cramer VFW Post 7694 and Kuoni-Reuter American Post 167. Burial will be held in the West Bend Cemetery.

Jack’s family would like to thank the staff at the Pines in Prairie du Sac and the Sauk Prairie Hospital for their wonderful care.

In appreciation of the Badger Honor Flight which Jack participated on in Oct. 2015; memorials may be made in his name to Badger Honor Flight.
