DEFOREST, Wis. - Gerald DeWayne Borland, age 80, passed away on May 12, 2017, at Fountainhead Homes in DeForest. He was born on May 5, 1937, in Madison, the son of Marion and Marjorie (Harper) Borland. Gerald proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1955-1963. He worked as a Postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years.
Gerald is survived by his first wife and life partner, Nicole Borland; children, Natalie Fotes, Marc Borland and John Borland; grandchildren, Christopher, Nathan, Travis, Jayme, Christine and Kelsey; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Bailey, Destiny, Mercedes, Nick, Zyanna, Casey, Travis Jr., Zymaia, Ryder, Cooper and Emma; siblings, Joan and Beverly; and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jacob; and siblings, Jimmy, David, Gene, Jane, Erma and Mary.
