MADISON-David W. Mueller, 68 of Madison passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017. David was born January 4, 1949 the son of Wilbert and Angeline (Ahrens) Mueller. He attended many schools in the Chicago area during his childhood. He worked a few years in the Chicago area prior to moving to Wisconsin. During his years in Iron Ridge he worked for a pallet company prior to working at Fisher Barton in Watertown. Upon moving to Madison, David worked for a security company taking care of Park Village Apartments where he became friends with many residents. Upon leaving security he worked at the University of Wisconsin as a custodian.David married Susan Okon on August 26, 1989. This was his third marriage but the one that proved to last their lifetime. He adopted Susan’s daughter Amy as his own in 1994. They had one son together who was stillborn. He also was an animal lover having many dogs and cats throughout his adult life.David always loved trains so it was no surprise one of his favorite hobbies was his model train set. He also enjoyed bike riding whenever he could.David had many health issues throughout his lifetime. During recent years he had been dealing with congestive heart failure, asthma and atrial fibrillation. With all these health issues he relied on his daughter Amy to help him with any needed assistance. David is survived by his daughter, Amy, one sister, Carol Byrne of IL, one brother, John (Debbie) Mueller of IL, brother-in-law Peter Blankenfeld of IA, four nephews, two nieces, many cousins, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his stillborn son David Craig, his sister Bonnie, and his wife Susan.There are no plans for a service.
