COTTAGE GROVE-Dan "Hodag" Bultman, age 61, of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 15, 2018.
He was born on Jan. 26, 1957, in Madison, the son of Phillip and Evelyn (Bingham) Bultman. Dan graduated from Deerfield High School in 1975. In 1976, he began his career in the insurance business where he was employed with Combined Insurance Company. Later he transferred to Hawaii to continue his work, and then took a job with Lutheran Brotherhood.
In 1997, Dan returned to the Madison area and continued to serve families with their insurance needs proudly for 40 years. He enjoyed golfing and online Poker. He was an avid Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan and simply enjoyed being around family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughters. Dan is survived by his two daughters, Allison "Monkey" (Branden Mead) Bultman and Celeste and their mother, Patty Aguilar; father, Phillip Bultman; brother, Jeff Bultman; sister, Patti (Jerry) Helgeland; special cousin, Dick Bultman; special friends, Tim and Bonnie Prosa; and many other loving Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn “Evey” Bultman. A Celebration of Life, in true Hawaiian style will be held at BADGER FARMS, 1682 CO HWY BB, Deerfield, from 5 p.m. until 12 a.m.(Midnight) on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Feel free to bring a dish to pass. \
