MADISON - Charlotte Sylvia Bodoh, age 94, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Jan. 7, 1929, in Kendall, Wis., the daughter of Harry and Sylvia (Hill) Smith.
Charlotte graduated from Kendall High School in 1946.  She was united in marriage to Bill Terry on Dec. 1, 1951, in La Crosse.  Later in life, she married Robert Bodoh on June 1, 1985, in Madison. Â
Charlotte worked in a variety of office settings. She was a checker for Kohl’s grocery stores for 19 years and most recently at Badger Welding Supply, retiring at age 83.
Mom loved gardening and her home. She was especially fond of her family times and always hosted Christmas Eve. She loved to go out to Friday fish frys with her friends.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Gail (Ron) Degler, Carolyn Terry (Ray Matekine), Renee’ (Jay) Bowman and Janee’ (Lynn) Erickson; step children, Vickie (Dick) Winter, Karen Prouty and Billie (Fran) Finco; grandchildren, Joshua (Missy) Baier, Matthew Baier, Adam (Melissa) Baier, Christine (Nathan) Lawver, Jennifer (Christopher) Stapleton, Nichole DeHaven (Mario Spurling), Lucas DeHaven, Jesse DeHaven, Jayme (Jesse) Brooks, Jacob Scott (Justine Bonde), Joshua (Mary) Erickson and Megan Erickson, Brandon (Bryta) Prouty, Joel (Lourdes) Johnson, Robert (Joni) Johnson, Kelly Heaton, Luke (Chrissy) Finco, Robin Finco, Abbi (Ben) Olson; 36 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Terry; second husband, Bob Bodoh; her parents, brothers, and two nephews and one niece.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023, with the Rev. Sandra Schieble presiding. Burial will be held at Blooming Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
