Numerous delivered packages reported stolen
Most cases in greater Isthmus area
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said there have been about a dozen reports of delivered packages being stolen from porches in the last month.
A 23-year-old woman in the 800 block of Jenifer Street reported to police that a USPS package was confirmed delivered to her home shortly after 11 a.m. Monday, but when she got home it was gone.
Police said the similar incidents involved packages delivered by USPS, FedEx and UPS and most occurred in the greater Isthmus area.
Residents expecting deliveries may want to have packages routed to places of work or other locations where someone is present, according to police.
