Norma Jean McCluskey
Dodgeville – Norma Jean McCluskey, age 90, passed away peacefully at Upland Hills Nursing & Rehab Center on February 21, 2017.
She was born on February 23, 1926, the daughter of John and Marion (Jackson) Adams. She graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1944. Norma married Don McCluskey on November 15, 1947 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dodgeville and they celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2007. Norma worked for many years as a cashier at M&I / Strong’s Bank, in Dodgeville and was a loyal parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She was an outstanding homemaker and a loving friend. She cherished her family more than anything and was extraordinarily proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed French braiding the hair of her daughters, granddaughters, great granddaughters, and numerous other girls that were special to her.
Norma is survived by her children Gayle (Roger) Perkins of Madison, Kim (Mary) McCluskey of Menomonee Falls, Diane (Michael) O’Brien of Verona, and Mark (Jana) McCluskey of Janesville; her grandchildren Erik (Cynthia) Perkins, Marissa (Nick) Borsdorf, Chelsey (Andrew) Gebel, Kacie (Chris) Vergeront, Sean O’Brien, and Brice and Keegan McCluskey; her great grandchildren Gavin Perkins, Abigail and Jocelyn Borsdorf, Haddie Vergeront, and Everly Gebel; her sisters Lillian Flesch, Gerry Dott, and Marilyn Owens; her in-laws Marion Walsh and Harold Buss; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 15, 2008; her parents; a special aunt Vera Jackson, her sisters Wilma Baker, Vera Bratton, and Bobbie Buss; her in-laws Clarence Flesch, Bob Baker, Charlie Bratton, Jerry Dott, Wayne Owens, Delores and John Hammond, Betty and Don Evans, Bernie Walsh, Lois and Tom Jones, and Carol and Ed Cody.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at ST. JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Friends and relatives may call at the church prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic School or Upland Hills Hospice.
