Norma Jean Johnson
PORTAGE/POYNETTE/RIO-Norma Jean Johnson, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014.
She was born on Sept. 24, 1933, in Broken Bow, Neb. She married William L. Johnson and they resided in Poynette. Norma worked for many years as a waitress. She retired from Home Bound Home Health where she worked as a caretaker. Norma loved to read a good book, play trivia, listen to music, socialize and go shopping.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Barry) Paulson of Deerfield; grandchildren, Corey (Bernice) Pribbenow and Christopher (Michelle) Paulson; four great-grandchildren, Faith, Spencer, Kaylana and Balie; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; daughter, Shana Diane Jackson; and brothers; Clark, Elvis, Harlan and Thane.
Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, with Chaplain Susan Greenler presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Memorials may be given to the family.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Kim Palmer, her hair dresser, for being such a good friend through the years. Also, Heartland Hospice Care, and Nazareth House care givers and friends who took such loving care of Mom and enjoyed her laughter.
