No one injured after shots fired inside Janesville home
Suspect arrested on several charges, police said
JANESVILLE, Wis. — The Janesville Police Department said it’s arrested a man for allegedly firing a handgun several times inside a home.
The police department said officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 2300 block of Garden Drive at 12:06 a.m. Monday.
When officers arrived, they heard multiple gunshots. Officers identified the house shortly before a woman from inside the house called 911. She told dispatchers that a man inside the house was firing the gun.
Officers said they made several attempts to contact the man in the home. He is identified by officers as Michael Howard, 59, of Garden Drive.
Officers say an investigation shows Howard was using a handgun. No one was injured.
Howard is being held for endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, disorderly conduct while armed, threats to a law enforcement officer, and resisting an officer.
