No injuries, property damaged in 2nd morning gunfire incident, Madison police say
MADISON, Wis. — A caller told police gunfire was heard in a neighborhood on Madison’s east side Thursday, according to Dane County Communications.
Madison police said multiple callers reported shots fired at 11:22 a.m. in the 1700 block of Onsgard Road, a neighborhood just east of North Stoughton Road and northwest of Highway 151.
According to the report, there were several people involved, and at least two people were armed with handguns. Officers found shell casings in the area.
Lt. Kelly Donahue said there were no reports of injuries but property damage was reported.
Two people were shot several hours earlier Thursday at about 5:30 a.m. on Groveland Terrace , police said. One person is in custody in the Groveland incident.
