Village of Oregon Police Department takes on lip-sync challenge

Oregon PD twist, shout in dance video

VILLAGE OF OREGON, Wis. - The Village of Oregon Police Department released a lip-sync video Thursday, playfully singing along to The Beatles' "Twist and Shout."

The video was posted on the department's Facebook page. According to the post, the department received many requests to make the video.

In homage to the 1986 comedy movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," the video begins with Detective Sgt. Chad Schaub making an excuse to skip a staff meeting before leaving for a joyride in the police chief's Corvette.

The remainder of the video sees Village of Oregon officers dancing to "Twist and Shout" with the help of a range of community members. Officers dance with children in the library and pool, local firefighters, the Oregon Senior Center and members of the high school band.

According to the post, officers nominated the Verona Police Department and the Fitchburg Police Department to continue the lip-sync challenge.
