MADISON, Wis. -- Longtime Wisconsin Secretary of State Doug La Follette on Monday unveiled a plaque honoring his distant relative and former Gov. "Fighting Bob" La Follette.

The plaque, which sits below a bust of the progressive leader inside the Wisconsin State Capitol, details his contributions to the state's history as well as the country's. La Follette served as governor from 1901-1906 before serving in the U.S. Senate from 1906-1925. He also ran for president in 1924.
