MADISON, Wis. -- A Madison man says someone shot out one of his car windows during a road rage incident on Stoughton Road earlier this week.
Madison Police say the incident happened at about 6 a.m. Wednesday on Stoughton Road near Pflaum Road.
The man told police he "brake checked" a driver in a silver sedan that had been tailgating him in an attempt to get the other driver to stop driving so close to him, but that led to the other driver aggressively pulling around him and ultimately pulling out a gun, firing a single shot.
The man who reported the incident said he was hurt by flying glass. The driver of the other car drove off after firing the gun and hasn't been found.
Madison police say no arrests have been made so far and are asking anyone with additional information to call Madison Area Crime Stoppers (608-266-6014) or submit a tip online at p3tips.com.
