Man arrested, accused of stealing rare coin collection from town of Beloit home

TOWN OF BELOIT, Wis. - Officers in the town of Beloit have made an arrest after a rare collection of specialty coins was stolen over the summer.

The burglary happened on July 27 at a home along the 2200 block of Pow Wow Trail, according to a release by the town of Beloit.

The investigation developed suspect information, which was posted on the Town of Beloit Police Department Facebook page. 

Officers arrested John L. Isaacson, 57, of Beloit, on Thursday. He is being held in the Rock County Jail and faces charges of burglary and theft, according to the release.

The stolen property has not been located. Anyone with information about the rare silver coins is asked to call the Town of Beloit Police Department at 608-757-2244.
