Madison police use city cameras to break up drug deal between two teens

MADISON, Wis. - Madison police used city cameras to break up a drug deal between two teens Friday night.

According to a blog post from Madison police Chief Mike Koval, officials saw that a 17-year-old male and 18-year-old male were in the middle of a drug deal at 7:10 p.m.

Police said they made contact with the teens on the 100 block of West Mifflin Street. Officers found cocaine on the 17-year-old as well as in the cooler he was sitting on.

The 17-year-old was charged with party to a crime and a probation violation and taken to jail.

The 18-year-old was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and taken to jail. 

An investigation is ongoing.
