Madison police looking for burglar who targeted unlocked house

MADISON, Wis. - Madison police are looking for a burglar who targeted an unlocked home early Wednesday morning. 

Police said a burglar entered an unlocked home on Summer Ridge Dr. around 2:15 a.m.

According to an incident report, the burglar took car keys, a wallet and a laptop computer. A Lexus RX350 was also stolen from the driveway. 

Officials said the victims indicated they don't normally lock their home. 

The wife awoke around 2:15 a.m. to the sound of a car door slamming and realized the house was burglarized, according to the report.
