MADISON, Wis. -- Months after prosecutors charged a Madison man with more than a dozen sex and human trafficking charges, a judge ruled on Thursday that the man's case could move forward.
Zachariah Singletary, 36, faces a total of 24 charges including possession of child pornography, trafficking of a child, sexual assault and child enticement, among others, stemming from allegations he -- on multiple occasions -- tried to have sex with underage girls at a convenience store on State Street.Â
The 36-year-old also allegedly offered drugs and alcohol to the victims in exchange for sex, according to court records filed against him.
While Singletary was initially charged in October 2022, he didn't have a lawyer appointed to represent him until late February of this year.
