Officials determine Ford Focus crossed centerline

CAMBRIDGE, Wis. - The investigation into a head-on crash on Highway 12 that killed two people on May 15 continues, according to a news release from the Dane County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said Thursday the investigation determined that a westbound Ford Focus -- driven by Chandler J. Jarlsberg, 22, of Cambridge -- crossed the centerline and hit an eastbound Toyota Corolla driven by Angelina B. Nsibirwa, 23, of Fort Atkinson.

Both cars were engulfed in flames, trapping the drivers in their cars. Nsibirwa and Jarlsberg died at the scene of the crash.

Officials said the incident remains under investigation and toxicology test results are still pending.
