Woman brandishes handgun, robs gas station in Windsor, deputies report

VILLAGE OF WINDSOR, Wis. - Officials are investigating an armed robbery in Village of Windsor, according to a news release from the Dane County Sheriff's Office. 

Deputies responded to the armed robbery report at the Windsor Travel Plaza Mobil Gas Station on Lake Road around 4:43 p.m. Tuesday. 

Officials said a woman entered the store wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and tan footwear. She is described as a white woman, about 5 feet, 3 inches tall, with a slender build. 

The robber brandished a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the clerk and left the gas station on foot, according to the release. 

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Dane County Sheriff's Office tips line at 608-284-6900.
