Police seek man who robbed sandwich store in puffy, fur-hooded coat

MADISON, Wis. - Madison police are asking the public's help in identifying a robber from surveillance photos. 

Police said a robber wearing a puffy tan parka with fur on the hood robbed the Subway on Cottage Grove Road at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday. The coat also had patches on the elbows.   

Police released three images from the robbery Thursday, and asked anyone with information on the identity of the robber to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.  

According to the report, the robber kept a hand inside his clothing, making it appear he might have a gun. He spoke in Spanish and fled with money from the till and the tip jar.      

Police described the robber as Hispanic, in his early to mid-20s, 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. He is clean-shaven.
