Police: Man robbed, knocked unconscious by three men

Victim believes he was struck by bat or metal bar

MADISON, Wis. - A man believes he was robbed and knocked unconscious by three men on the city’s east side early Monday morning, according to Madison police.

Police said they believe the incident happened just after 2:30 a.m. on the city’s east side.

According to police, the 31-year-old man said he was walking near Sycamore Avenue when one white man and two black men approached him.

Police said the victim had his wallet stolen, but he could not provide an exact location or time of the incident.

Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
