Man arrested on child porn charges also on bond in child abuse case

MADISON, Wis. - A Madison man who was arrested Wednesday morning on child pornography charges is also on bond in connection with a child abuse case, according to court records.

Madison police said 23-year-old Jeremy D. Schenck was arrested on suspicion of four counts of possession of child pornography and felony bail jumping.

Schenck was arrested at around 9:30 a.m. at his home in the 3100 block of Muir Field Road, according to the report.

Police said the arrest is in connection with the city's special victims unit and the Wisconsin Department of Justice investigation.

Court records also show Schenck is on bond for a charge of felony child abuse stemming from an Oct. 18 incident. In that case, Schenck signed a $500 bond on Dec. 20. A plea hearing on the child abuse charge is scheduled at 1:45 p.m. April 18.
