3 rescued from vehicles stranded in water on Green County roads, officials say

MONROE, Wis. - Three people were rescued Thursday after their vehicles stalled in standing water, Green County sheriff’s officials said.

Monticello firefighters responded around 6:25 a.m. to the intersection of Schneeberger Road and Zurfluh Road in the town of Albany for a vehicle stranded in high water, according to a release.

A 41-year-old Juda woman was driving north on Schneeberger Road when her vehicle stalled and got stranded in water, officials said. Crews assisted the woman from the vehicle and her vehicle was towed.

Around 7:30 p.m. Brodhead emergency crews responded to the intersection of County Road T and Town Center Road in the Town of Spring Grove for a report of a vehicle stranded in water, according to the release.

A 41-year-old Milwaukee man was driving east on Town Center Road when his vehicle got stranded in water, officials said. Crews helped the man from his vehicle.

Albany firefighters responded around 9:10 p.m. to the W1400 Block of Decatur Albany Road in the Town of Decatur for a vehicle stranded in high water with a person on top of the vehicle, according to the release.

A 61-year-old Monroe man was driving on Decatur Albany Road when his vehicle became stranded in water, officials said. Emergency crews helped the man from the vehicle.

No one was injured in any of the rescues, officials said.
