Something new from Rule No. 1 Hospitality Group is coming to Hilldale Shopping Center this summer.

Amara, which will be a coastal Italian restaurant, is taking the former Pasqual’s space next to Evereve, according to a release. Rule No. 1 Hospitality Group also owns Lucille and Merchant downtown.

Amara will have small plates, small bites, hand-made pasta and entrees using fresh ingredients. The release says they plan to offer “cutting edge Italian and Italian-inspired artisan wines farmed by hand and made with classical methods.”

Along with Italian wines, the drink menu is lined with other Italian sips such as aperitifs, negronis, cocktails and espresso.

There is not a specific opening date, but Amara plans on opening this summer.

In addition to Amara, Rule No. 1 plans to reopen Merchant this summer. Merchant closed in September to renovate its space and to launch a revamped menu. According to its website, Merchant will be reopening June 1.
