ORANGE, Wis. — Deputies arrested a man Wednesday after he allegedly shot at someone.

Juneau County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home on County Highway C in Orange Township just after 1:15 a.m. Wednesday for reports of gunshots. Officials said Daniel Murphy, 41, of rural New Lisbon shot at the person who called 911.

Murphy then left the home and deputies were unable to find him. At 11 a.m. that same day, Murphy returned. Deputies searched the home, reportedly seizing multiple guns, drug paraphernalia, cash and plastic baggies allegedly containing methamphetamine.

Murphy was arrested. Online court records show he was charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety, possession of amphetamine/methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of THC — second offense.

He is also charged with intentionally pointing a firearm at a person, resisting/obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.
