New Channel3000 mobile offerings redesigned, enhanced

Look around and it will come as no surprise that more people are getting on the Internet with their mobile devices. We at Channel 3000 noticed the change, and we’re launching new mobile offerings to improve our content, design and accessibility for our users.

iPhone users who already have our news app should have an update available, if it hasn’t been updated already. Android users will be prompted to download our new app. If you’ve not downloaded the app, you can always find it in the Apple App Store and Google Play.

The app features a new design and more content, including articles, images, galleries and improved on-demand and live-streaming video. Larger images will make for a better visual experience.

Users can expect breaking news alerts on local and national stories, severe weather alerts and easy access to school closing announcements. Our search capabilities are also improved.

Our mobile site,, is also redesigned and packed with a lot more content for phone and tablet users.

The greatest enhancement users will notice is more attention to our mobile users. We’ll be paying constant attention to our mobile content and customizing it for that audience.

What we’re looking forward to the most is the potential we have for the future. The behind-the-scenes changes made with this mobile launch position Channel 3000 for many great mobile enhancements in the future.

There’s more to come.
