New Cambridge Library – Too Close To Fail
Just $112,000 to go
Some of the most exciting stuff happening in our communities and neighborhoods today is happening in libraries. From the internet upgrades in some 300 mostly rural Wisconsin libraries to the inspired seed exchanges soon to debut at five Dane County branches, libraries are happenin’ places for discovery, connection and learning. Adding to that excitement is the oh-so-close completion of a capital campaign for a new library in the Village of Cambridge.
Over the past year, Campaign Chair Bob Salov has led an impressive effort to raise $1.8 Million to build a badly needed new library in the community straddling Dane and Jefferson counties. Thanks to the Madison Community Foundation, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, a handful of local foundations, five surrounding municipalities and who knows how many generous individuals, the Friends of the Cambridge Library are within 112 thousand dollars of their goal, – just 112 thousand dollars.
Today we urge any and all new friends and donors to complete the job and help Cambridge join in on the fun of a new community library. We’ll even go so far as to congratulate the entire community in advance.
