New Assembly bill looks to simplify EMS worker’s comp
MADISON, Wis. — A bill put forward in the Wisconsin Assembly would make it easier for emergency responders to obtain worker’s compensation for post-traumatic stress disorder.
The bipartisan bill would include police, EMTs and firefighters, and would greatly simplify the existing language on the books for worker’s compensation.
Some Wisconsin cities and counties have expressed concerns over the potential cost of the bill.
