Neighbor dispute leads to stabbing, police say

An ongoing dispute between neighbors led to a stabbing on Madison’s east side Saturday, according to Madison police.

Police were called to the 200 block of Swanton Road at 6:39 p.m. after two Madison men got into an argument outside an apartment complex.

Officers were told one of the men pushed the other, and the second man responded by pulling a knife.

Police said the 24-year-old victim was cut on the arm and hand when 26-year-old Jonathan M. Buell swung the knife at the victim.

The victim was transported to a hospital.

Buell was arrested on suspicion of second-degree reckless endangerment.
