Need a free dress? This Mount Horeb native is helping girls feel confident at dances
MOUNT HOREB, Wis. — Winter formal dances are just weeks away at most area high schools, and one Mount Horeb woman is trying to make sure everyone looks the part.
University of Minnesota sophomore and Mount Horeb native Kylie Littel recently started Dresses on Wheels.
The organization gives dresses away for free to girls who cannot afford a new dress for every event.
In her mobile camper, Littel hosted a sale Saturday in Mount Horeb.
She says she’s happy to make a difference and help girls feel confident at dances.
“There are definitely bigger problems in the world for sure,” Littel said. “But I thought it was something I could help with, because when I was in high school, buying dresses for events can really add up.”
Littel said just through spreading the word in the community she received more than 100 dress donations within a week.
Littel said those who are interested in donating or picking up a dress can contact her at email@example.com.
