Nathan W. Scafe
Nathan W. Scafe, age 26, of Madison, died on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at his home.
He was born in LaCrosse on May 10, 1990, the son of Jon and Joan (Bowen) Scafe. He graduated from Craig High School in 2008, and UW-Whitewater with a B.A. in Social Work and Political Science. Nathan had been employed by Americore and United Way. He was very passionate about helping others and did everything he could to make a positive impact on the community around him. He accomplished many great things over the course of his life despite his setbacks and was an inspiration for all who knew him. Nathan was a phenomenal writer. He also loved to cook, listen to music, travel, read, watch football, and spend time with his friends and family. He was an outgoing, social butterfly who was always the life of the party. He made everyone feel accepted and worked hard to make the world a more loving and tolerant place. The impact of his loss will be felt forever by those who knew him.

Nathan is survived by his parents, Jon and Joan Scafe of Janesville; sister, Alyssa Scafe of Beloit; grandparents, Irvin (Kay Schneider) Bowen, and Wayne and Eva Scafe; many other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nancy Bowen.
A Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017, at FOUNDATION BIBLE CHURCH, 1805 Foster Ave., Janesville. A visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Church. SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
