Nancy Wick, age 70 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side Saturday, July 5, 2014 at her residence.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Portage, Wisconsin with Father Gary Krahenbuhl celebrating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Nancy was born June 25, 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the daughter of Florian and Lorraine (Deman) Luba and she grew up in Germantown, Wisconsin. In February of 1962 she married Gerald Wick in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. They enjoyed coming to the Dells area and in 1980 they purchased a cabin near the Wisconsin River and in 1995 they built a permanent home. Nancy enjoyed reading and loved Mackinac Island. She was an avid cook and shared this talent with her family and friends. Nancy’s spirit touched the lives of many through her caring demeanor. She had immense love for her family.
Nancy is survived by her dear husband, Gerald; son, Steven of Madison, Wisconsin; daughters, Wendy (Mike) Wick-Kinder of Carmel, Indiana and Dawn Wick of Indianapolis, Indiana; a grandchild, Alexandra Leach-Wick; and a brother, Dan (Michelle) Luba of East Troy, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
