MADISON/ WAUNAKEE – Nancy Foye, age 79, finally laid to rest following complications due to Scleroderma on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. She was born on Aug. 1, 1933 in Black Earth, the daughter of Lucius Foye and Helen (Shower). Nancy worked for the State of Wisconsin for 30 years. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, oil painting and needlework, loved being busy with her hands and reading. In her later years she especially enjoyed following The Vern and Steve Meisner band. Nancy always loved preparing for the annual family garage sale.
She was very proud of her daughters, whom she is survived by, Barbara, Tracy (Greg), Tammy (Joe), and Rhonda (Jim). Nancy had an enormous love for her grandchildren, Rainbow, Uriah, Drew, Madeline, Seppi, Tony, Larry and Matthew. She is also survived by brothers, Dale (Peggy) and Danny; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Lucius; mother, Helen; stepfather, Doc Wells; sister Bette; and brother, Neil.
A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Madison from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012. Special thanks to Dr. Berger and the staff at Meriter, Select Specialty and Middleton Village and also the special angels at Agrace HospiceCare. Special thank you to her buddy, Vivian.
