Myrtle “Myrt” Henneman, age 84, of Janesville, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center from complications from heart surgery. She was born in Centertown, Kentucky on Dec. 31, 1929, the daughter of Stellie and Clelo (Pillow) Hill. She married Frederick “Fred” Henneman in Jeffersonville, IN on July 2, 1966, and he preceded her in death. Myrt loved to garden, shop at antique stores, finding collectibles especially quilts, yard sales, and long walks with special friends. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her 5 children: Ambra (Bill) Hovland, Rhonda (Tom) Griffin, Cheri (Stephen Potter) Dahl, Wesley (Tina) Iler and Larry (Cindy Case) Henneman all of Janesville; Mamaw to her 10 grandchildren: Jamie (Alan) Richard, Jenny (Paul) Mulderink, Zachary and Blake Griffin, Joshua and Ashlee Dahl, Taryn and Brett Iler, Nicholas and Mitchel Henneman; 5 great grandchildren: Kendal, Annabelle, and Delaney Richard, Kale Iler, and Kailey Mulderink; other extended family and friends, especially Gloria, Chris, Marion and Janine. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Jones and Betty Johnson.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH with Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY.
