Myron V. Betthauser
JANESVILLE— Myron V. “Mike” Betthauser, age 75, died in Janesville on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012. He was born in Orange, WI, on Nov. 24, 1936, to Clara (Beaver) and Valentine Betthauser. Mike married Marjorie Tessmer in 1958 and moved to Janesville to work for General Motors until his retirement in 1997. As an entrepreneur, he owned and operated Mike’s Repair out of his home garage for over 25 years. Since retirement, his time was filled with the restoration of antiques, mechanical equipment and antique toys.
He is survived by his wife, Marge; their 4 children: Thomas (Elaine) Betthauser of New Glarus, Jeanne (Steve) Betthauser of Janesville, John (Mary Ann) Betthauser of Houston, TX, and Ann (Russell) Teubert of Janesville; 8 grandchildren: Erin, Casie, Emily, Nathan, Alexander, Sophia, Joshua and Miles; 5 great grandchildren; and his brother, Henry (Phyllis) Betthauser of Tomah, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will take place on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, 1800 E. Racine St., Janesville.
