Myra Jean Fern Baker
Myra “Jean” Baker, age 77 of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Barrington/Our House in Wisconsin Dells.
Memorial funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 3:30 P.M. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Oxford, Wisconsin with Stanley Cattroll officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 3:30 P.M.
Jean was born January 25, 1935 in Poysippi, Wisconsin the daughter of Herman and Fern (Shepard) Schaumburg. She married Oliver Baker in Lancaster, WI in 1975. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her many interests were African Violets and other houseplants, crocheting, knitting, baking and deer hunting. She was a CNA for 50 years. She also sold Avon for 40 plus years. Many people knew her as “The Egg Lady” as she and Oli raised chickens and sold eggs. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved her family. Her family will miss her and her special holiday dinners.
Jean is survived by her husband, Oliver; sons, Clifford (Nancy) Judson of Richland Center, WI, Ken (JC) Judson of Hillsboro, WI, Brent Baker and Brian Baker both of South Beloit, IL; daughters, Bonnie Rogge of Edgerton, WI, Clara (Ted) Berg of Hillsboro, WI, Marcia (Jeff) Bennett of Markesan, WI and Tanya (Mike) Pazera of Beloit, WI and Tina Muir of South Beloit, IL; sister, Louise Bogan of East Moline, IL; 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Roger, Jerry and Richard.
