Three people killed in multi-vehicle crash on I-94 near Johnson Creek, authorities say

JOHNSON CREEK, Wis. — Three people were killed Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle crash on I-94 westbound.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office officials said the crash happened just before 4 a.m. when a vehicle pulling a cargo trailer lost control and crashed into a guardrail. A second vehicle then collided with the cargo trailer before a semi-truck also crashed into the trailer and guardrail.
The interstate near mile marker 262 shut down for several hours after the crash. It reopened around 10:45 a.m.
The Wisconsin State Patrol, Jefferson County Medical Examiner and emergency crews from Lake Mills, Johnson Creek and Watertown helped at the scene.
The crash is under investigation by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
