Mt. Horeb woman charged with 5th OWI in Janesville
Police pulled woman for suspended registration
JANESVILLE, Wis. — Janesville police said a Mt. Horeb woman has been taken into custody after police pulled her over late Tuesday on her fifth charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
The incident happened near the intersection of Milton and Blackbridge in Janesville just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, an officer stopped Shawna Thiel for driving with a suspended registration when the officer noticed the odor of intoxicants coming from the car.
Police said Thiel admitted to the officer that she and the other person in the car had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered and police said she showed signs of impairment.
Thiel was arrested and taken to the Rock County Jail.
