MPD Violent Crime and Gang Units arrest man in connection with September shooting
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police say they’ve arrested a 23-year-old in connection to a shots fired incident last year.
MPD says its Violent Crime Unit, Gang Unit, SWAT and others worked together to arrest Devion L. Thomas at around 11 a.m. Thursday on Winnebago Street.
Thomas was arrested following a months-long investigation by the Violent Crime Unit into a shots fired incident in the area of Britta Parkway on September 18th, 2020.
Police say witnesses repored seeing shots being fired, vehicles speeding away from the area, and people running. Police found shell casings in the area, and a 21-year-old man later showed up to a local hospital with a gunshot wound in his shoulder.
Thomas is in the Dane County Jail and faces charges of first degree attempted homicide.
