Madison police are investigating after someone reportedly shot into two separate homes Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

The first happened around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday on the 3800 block of Goodland Drive.

Witnesses told officers they heard multiple gunshots before a car took off.

A storm door was shattered, but no one inside the house was hurt.

The second happened just after 1:15 a.m. Thursday.

Two separate callers reported hearing multiple shots fired on the city’s east side.

Officers found a bullet that had gone through a wall and hit a couch at a home in the 100 block of Powers Avenue.

They also found a number of shell casings right around the corner in the 3300 block of Chicago Avenue.

No one was hurt, but there were reports of two cars driving away on Worthington Avenue.

There’s no word yet on whether the two incidents could be related.
