MPD recovers 52 shell casings from parking lot of Madison bowling alley

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police said it recovered 52 shell casings in the parking lot of Schwoeglers Park Towne Lanes late Friday night.

According to an incident report, police responded to the bowling alley for reports of shots fired shortly after 11 p.m.

The report said 35 handgun casings and 17 rifle rounds were collected at the scene, while four cars were also found with damage from bullet strikes.

Police said they spoke to the owners of the cars and other people at the bowling alley. No one was reported to be hit by gunfire and no victims showed up to any local hospitals, authorities said.

Dozens of shell casings were also recovered from the bowling alley’s parking lot last month.
