MPD investigating after officer hears gunfire on city’s west side

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are investigating a shots fired incident on the city’s westside.

Officers were dispatched to the 6600 block of Piping Rock Road around 10:10 p.m. after an officer who was in the area heard the gunfire.

Police said a caller reported seeing a dark SUV leaving the area around the same time.

No one was injured and no damage was reported.
