MPD investigate two overnight burglaries near Elver Park

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police are once again investigating a set of overnight burglaries on the city’s west side.

Law enforcement responded Thursday morning to the 7100 block of New Washburn Way near Elver Park for a report of an overnight burglary. The victim told police the suspects got into their home through an open garage and an unlocked door. The victim said the suspects took valuables and keys from the home.

MPD said the burglary happened around 11 p.m.

Police also responded to the 1200 block of Twinleaf Lane for another overnight burglary. The victim told police the suspects got into the residence through an unlocked front door. They reportedly stole valuables and the victim’s vehicle.

Earlier this week, authorities investigated a string of three overnight burglaries also on Madison’s west side, at least two of which involved open garages and unlocked doors.
