MPD: Drug dealers arrested, AR-15, assault-style rifle, drugs, cash seized
MADISON, Wis. — Two men were arrested and firearms, drugs and thousands of dollars in cash were seized from a north Madison home this week, police said.
The Madison Police Department said the Dane County Narcotics Task Force was investigating a long-term drug investigation and conducted three searches Tuesday.
According to a news release, police searched two apartments in the 2500 block of Calypso Road and a storage locker in the 2700 block of Packers Avenue.
The targets of the drug probe were not in the apartments, but they were taken into custody following foot chases at East Towne Mall, police said.
Five guns, heroin, cocaine and $12,500 cash were among items seized, officials said.
Henry P. Allen, 38, of Madison, was tentatively charged with three counts of delivery of heroin, delivery of cocaine and resisting arrest.
Darcell L. Booker, 34, of Chicago, was tentatively charged with party to the crime of delivery of heroin and resisting arrest.
The seized guns included an AR-15, a .22-caliber assault-style rifle, a SKS 7.62 rifle and two .44-caliber handguns.
Officers with the MPD SWAT team, the North District Community Police team, along with state and federal agents assisted in the search.
