MPD: Body found along shoreline of Lake Mendota, no signs of foul play
MADISON, Wis. — Madison police officers are responding to an incident along the Lake Mendota shoreline.
They were called to the 100 block of East Gilman Street a little after 7 a.m. Friday, for the reports of a body floating in the water.
The deceased has been identified as a Madison man in his 60’s, according to a release from the department.
Madison police say there are no initial signs of foul play and the death does not appear to be suspicious, the release said.
The Dane County medical examiner is on scene to determine the exact cause of death.
