Mount Horeb police alert parents about stranger approaching girl, investigating incident
MOUNT HOREB, Wis. — The Mount Horeb Police Department is alerting parents about a situation involving a stranger and a girl.
The girl said a man approached her Thursday morning near the intermediate center and asked if she needed a ride to school.
The student refused and the man drove away, according to a post on the Mount Horeb Police Department’s Facebook page.
Police describe the man as white, between 30 and 40 years old, and driving a gray or silver GM/Chevrolet sedan-style vehicle.
Police in the post said there is no current information to believe there is any threat to kids and that this incident is only known as a suspicious person at this point.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Mount Horeb Police Department.
Mount Horeb police are also asking parents and guardians to have conversations with kids about appropriate interactions with strangers.
