Motorcyclist killed in collision in Janesville
Police: Bike hit construction equipment parked along curb
JANESVILLE, Wis. — One man is dead after his motorcycle hit a piece of construction equipment in Janesville, according to Janesville police.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday on Ruger Avenue just west of the Interstate 90 overpass.
According to police, the motorcyclist was going westbound on Ruger when he hit a stationary piece of equipment parked along the curb in the westbound lanes.
Police said the motorcyclist was ejected from his bike. He was taken to Mercy Hospital in Janesville and pronounced dead. It’s not known whether speed or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Police said the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.
