Motorcycle driver suffers ‘severe’ injuries in crash, officials say

A Wauwatosa man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Highway 33 Wednesday afternoon, according to a release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a motor vehicle crash on Highway 33 at the intersection of County Road P in the town of Herman, officials said.

William Brown, 56, of Wauwatosa, was driving a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Highway 33 and Toni Henkel, 68, of Oconomowoc, was driving a 2011 Kia west on Highway 33, investigators said. Henkel started to turn left at the intersection with County Road P, and Brown hit the right side of the Kia.

Brown suffered severe injuries and was flown by Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, according to the release. He was wearing a helmet. Henkel suffered minor injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
