Monroe woman injured in early-morning crash
TOWN OF YORK, Wis. — An 18-year-old Monroe woman was injured in a crash in northern Green County early Saturday, the county Sheriff’s Office said.
In a news release, officials said 18-year-old Jennifer Wild was driving south in the W8900 block of Buckeye Road in the town of York when she failed to negotiate a curve, leaving the road and hitting a utility pole.
Wild was taken to a hospital with injuries. The news release did not specify the type or extent of those injuries.
Wild was also cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle, police said. She was reportedly wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash came less than a day after three Monroe High School students were killed and another woman was injured in a crash near Monroe .
