Monroe teen killed in farm-related incident identified
Tractor hauling manure spreader went into ditch, overturned, officials say
MONTICELLO, Wis. — An 18-year-old Monroe resident found dead near the scene of a farm-related crash Monday afternoon has been identified, according to a release from the Green County Sheriff’s Department.
Green County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 3800 block of Oliver Road southeast on Monticello just before 2:30 p.m. for reports of a farm-related crash, officials said.
A tractor hauling an empty manure spreader lost control, went into the ditch on the east side of the road and overturned, investigators said. The 18-year-old driver,Troy Gorr, was ejected and later found unresponsive by a passerby. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Monticello Fire Department and emergency medical services units from Brodhead and Monroe responded to the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
